Bushwack the Environment

If Bush allows this to happen it will be one of the most reprehensible irresponsible acts he could do before he scrambles out of office. I guess "to hell with the environment I'm in bed with the mining interests" will be part of his final epitaph!

It's a shame that Bush is so unconcerned about the environment. Burying streams, which causes run-offs to be diverted or disappear entirely, sounds like enviornmental destruction to me.

Nearby where I live there are protected wetlands, places for birds to rest while migrating. Time and time again development interests have tried to buy up those acres and use them for commercial and residental construction. Each time they've been defeated.

I think most people agree that we have to protect the enviornment and development should be carefully planned to enhance enviornmental concernes, not destroy it.

It's too bad Bush never felt that way. Thank goodness he has only a short time left in office.
