Hello All!  Bill's Doris is doing well overall.  A few medical-related blips here & there but overall, everything considered, she is doing well.  We spend every Saturday together running errands, visiting local museums, & going to the library along with a few fun things like the occasional facial & pedicure.  Thank goodness for GROUPON & LIVING SOCIAL!!!

Ron & I continue to be swamped with work.  Not making much $ but lots & lots of work.  We had a rather awful thing happen recently.  One of our tenants had a childhood friend over recently to drive him to the MD & pick up his meds.  This friend and our tenant had grown up either next door or across the street from one another & their parents still lived in the childhood homes and close friends with one another.  The friend however had other plans it seems.  He had just sat down to lunch & she entered the house, shot him and then killed herself.  No explanation, nothing.  We never met or knew this woman.

This was a lovely, extremely talented human being.  Truly a delightful man who seemed to get along with everyone around him.  Very well liked.

Now his parents, again people we have never met, have decided to sue us. For what, I don't know.  As a parent & someone who knew him, even if it was just a little bit, I can understand & share in their pain.  Now, I don't even know if we can even go to this lovely man's funeral because I don't want to cause a scene. Nor am I going to let his parents & their slime ball lawyer further victimize us.  How you ask, I don't have a clue right now.  I just know that the world lost a wonderful, talented man and that we are all the worse for it.

Sorry, Angie, but you did reach out to me.  And, I have truly missed all of you!

Such a Terrible set of events. Does your Business insurance cover Legal costs? there is No Way even a FL county Attorney or whatever they call them down there would waste the county's time on that is there?

And you sure can Vent here all you want, no one here will complain.

B, please.  I agree, Angie.  I just wish they were directing their anger somewhere else.  I understand, I hope, they aren't angry with their friends, the parents of the woman who killed their son, because they too are suffering.  Unfortunately the field is littered with victims of this tragedy all around.  But the reality is that there is nothing we did wrong, nor is there anything we can do to make it better for them.  And, no, there is no insurance for them to tap into.  This is a very low margin venture with no equity and little income.
