WOF 2016 (February)

P, please.  Bill loved WOF & considered all of you his dear friends.  Bill was very much an introvert (as I am) & while he played bridge with Doris & went to the bridge club almost everyday, he rarely counted any of his fellow bridge players as friends. I started to play first at his request and then to honor his memory & because you all meant so much to him.  Now, I play because of all of you. 


While I am nowhere near as close to any of you as he was, I have always recognized the close community you have formed amongst yourselves and whenever I have expressed a concern or problem, I have always received kind words & thoughts expressed.  These  words of support may not be actionable, but they all so seem heartfelt that they bring me comfort.


I hope you will not lose heart, Angie, because I believe you and WOF provide a valuable service.

  It's hard not to lose heart when no one has played for days. For a long time, it was mostly just Bill and I keeping the game going. Then Wyz stepped in and helped a lot, but he hasn't played in over a month. I'm off to work again.
