Surfside, is Miami Dade, east coast? Seems to me. David was just a short way south of th panhandle.
Alot of the coastal areas buildings are less than 100' off the water. Engineering firms are going do big on this.
Think of how many cannot afford to move.
B?
Yes, he lived in Surfside and then moved to the panhandle before he passed away.
I don't quite understand about the rebar and concrete not being able to withstand saltwater. Think of all the bridges/piers that have their feet planted in saltwater that are still standing 80+ years?!

No that was not the name. Found a different map. Destin is where he was. The Greater Ft Walton area. The new place was further inland. Just looked at a map, Miami is on the East side, Atlantic most of the way to the tip.
Could be they didn't buy the right steel.

My car's A/C keeps getting more and more involved. Started out was supposed to be just a hole in a hose. Replaced all of them. Now I'm hearing it's the compressor and condenser. My BIL doesn't realize I'm not made of money. If this doesn't do it, we will just have to let it go. As it is, I'm going to have to ask my sister for help.

We had a '67 Mustang, 3rd owners, and it had a rather huge dent in the right side; we got it for $800 dollars in '78. Everything needed to be replaced in that car. When it came out here to CA, and the transmission needed to be replaced we went to a specialist shop close to us. They thought they had the cat's meow... tried to squeeze more money out of us for whatever else needed to be fixed. It was my Mum's car and she was unemployed working as a temporary in various jobs. The Mustang shoppe wanted to buy it from us for $500, in 2000.
Gave the car away to a charity after my Mum began to experience PTSD and other problems. Spent a lot of time getting the hoses replaced ( went to Sears) and playing with the carburetor choke. Sheesh
But it was a fun car to drive when it wasn't having problems!

Get one from an Automobile scrap yard, call several. Most will ship, get return guarantee. And had Husband stated anyone should get anything? It's all yours!
