I got home from work today. Put my key in the door and it wouldn't turn and wouldn't come out. So I thought I'd go buy another door knob key set. Told them I live in a mobile home. Will it work for me? They said yes, of course. But of course, it didn't. So my oldest brother came over and tried to fix it for me. The door is not solid enough. He couldn't fix it. So now I don't know what to do.

Going to have to buy another door. But they will probably say they have to replace the frame it goes in. The wood is split. Probably going to be expensive. I have no money. Got the door open. It is just pushed to at this point. My aunt died a few days ago. Her funeral is today. My brother is going to it. Don't know if he will be back to try to fix the door again. Everything here is old and has been jerry-rigged. My late husband did his best to fix things. The trailer is 39 years old. But it's a place to live. I really don't want to move. And have no money to.
Y?

Sorry to hear of your troubles, Angie. Hope things improve soon. I'll Light a virtual candle for You.
I'm in the process of moving; the Apt Manager spoke to me as I was coming back from the Eye Surgeon trying to keep my eyes half closed because of the Sun. A 1 bedroom first floor apt became available and it's outside the gates. That's good in several ways, but I have to be vigilant when it comes to delivery of packages now. I'm happy to move ....it's from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom apartment.

Still not done. It's not going to be perfect. He's going to have to jerry-rig, too. Have not been getting to work much. Not good. That's starting to worry me, too. Also found out my son has not found another job yet. Too many worries.

He still couldn't get it fixed. The new doorknob is not hitting the strike plate. Running out of ideas. He has came over every day, trying to figure out how to fix it.
On another note, I am worried about losing cell phone service after they stop the 3G phones.

I think my cellphone is 3G. I know my smartphone is 4G. I don't want to lose the phone number on the cellphone. Not that I remember what they are on either one, but I recognize it faster if a business asks for it.

not hitting the strike plate. many people overlook this but there is an adjustment on the part that goes into the strike plate, the part that moves when you turn the knob.
is there maybe a Plastic part on that piece? mostly the hole in doors is one of two sizes so locksets come with that adjustment.

Angie, i just put your zip code into tracfone, Android phones that work in your location, lte or cdma Verizon towers, or gsm most of the others. starting at $9.99. and when you first land at https://www.tracfone.com/ fill in you email and get a 25% of welcome email! many of those phones are android 9.
which will run may apps just fine, some will upgrade when or right after activation.
A10 1s what I have on my lg. but first i need to know if you are on an programs.

Good WyZ! do you know which towers you use now? I asked about TF because SafeLink LifeLINE can use any tracfone, but in your case so can the program you are with!
are you registered on the tf website?

Yes I have tracfones. My late husband's phone is through Safelink. A so-called Obama phone. Tracfone is the one who texted me that I will need to get a new phone. So far the one I have still works. I do get food stamps. Don't qualify for widow's benefits until I turn 60, about another year and a half. Don't qualify for anything else.
My brother has tried everything he can think of. He had a doctor's appointment today so will be later if he gets to come. I bought the stuff to fix the storm door today. Hopefully, he can get to it.

after that is finished you can get your own safelink service, they will send a phone. as you know tracfone does everything. when you call have your most used number put on it. and if you do not like the phone use the upgrade button on the tracfone site.
did tf offer a discount?
i have my second phone on the $15 month plan.
