Anti-gay pastor Fred Phelps Sr. dies at 84

Daughter Margie Phelps told The Associated Press that Fred Phelps, whose actions drew international condemnation, died around midnight Wednesday. She didn't provide the cause of death or the condition that recently put him in hospice care.
Margie Phelps, a daughter and church member, told WIBW-AM in Topeka Thursday that there will be no funeral.
the death was announced on the churches Web site. The message said he had “Gone The Way of All Flesh.” "People die - that is the way of all flesh," a blog post on the church's website said.
The Westboro Baptist Church, was a small congregation made up almost entirely of his extended family , had about 100 members .
His son Nathan, ran away from home as soon as he turned 18 and later became a gay rights advocate .
Two of Rev. Phelps’s granddaughters who participated in protests left the church last year ( 2012 / 2013 ) and apologized for the public pain they caused.
One of those grandchildren, Megan Phelps-Roper, who left the church in 2012, said via Twitter Thursday that she was “so sorry for the harm he caused. That we all caused.
