I woke up to post this puzzle for youse early birds 

We woke up to the water running in one of our toilets and won't turn off. So now, all water is turned off. Will have to brush my teeth with bottled water. And off to work again, too.

Sometimes Life can be a pain in the arse!  ( no pun intended)  Hope you get it fixed soon , and it doesn't costs your great-grandchild's arm to pay for it?!

Shut off under toilet was stuck open? sounds like you have a lot of minerals in your water also, which leads to the failure of the fill valve also.
