Sorry, I went to bed early and forgot to update.

Me and Hubby's daughter went to visit him in the psych ward (they call it the behavioral health unit) last night. It was really bad. They had him tied to a chair, and he kept trying to get loose. Because of that, he was extremely agitated and barely noticed or spoke to us. Doesn't look like they are helping him to us. That better change soon. His hearing is Wednesday. And they made us leave after only 5-10 minutes. We were supposed to have another half hour. So aggravating. I'm sure he would have calmed down eventually.

Sounds like a mixed bag; he isn't out hurting anyone with a vehicle ( or anyone physically) and seeing him tied to a chair is painfully sad. I suppose they're protecting themselves from injury in case he is being violent. ( kicking, biting, punching, etc.)

What meds do they have him on? I'm assuming they told you.

Has the attorney gotten in touch with you about the Power -of-Attorney, yet? It might be moot at this point.

They said he wasn't on any meds at that point. They better do it soon though.

Are both your names on the court documents, or just HUBBY's? I mean are you legally involved in the process or no?

If you're legally involved in the process , then I reckon you'd have to make sure he gets there. ( Or his court appointed attorney?!) Of course, if the hospital isn't playing ball and the cops have no , so they say , record of the transgression then why is the hospital still holding him?!

I had to petition the court to commit him. The doctors recommended this, as I assume they thought they had done all they could medically for him, and are now treating him mentally, if that makes sense. Hell, I'm not sure of all this myself. I have no idea what is going to happen with the hearing Wednesday.

I'll be leaving early tomorrow for another test- PET scan ; I've never done one so it should be quite an adventure. Drs saw something on my CT Scan that they want to check out and confirm. It might explain the pains I've been having recently on my right side.
