There was no hearing. They met me out in the hall and told me they were sending my husband home with me. They said there was nothing more they could do for him. If they did, they would just be babysitting him for me. So we are back to where we started.

So was the hearing rescheduled?  At least he is home now.  I find it hard to believe they don't/won't acknowledge what is wrong with him.  Or maybe they truly don't know, eh?

Ka'at left today for 4days in a skilled nursing facility, the Hospice Social Worker thought I needed caregiver respite because of my current health situation.

At least I can get some sleep, and not be up starting at 5am to 10p.m. every day.

Oh, they do acknowledge what's wrong with him. The discharge papers say alz/dementia, and prescriptions are for alz meds. No hearing. I think they just decided amongst themselves.

United Way gave me the names of a couple of churches that might help pay for the meds. I haven't called yet. I also haven't asked them about anything else yet. No way I could afford a memory care place. Even the lowest$2000+ a month is way too much. Much less the more expensive. Everybody says that's why they told me to take him home. No insurance, no money, no way to pay.

The leftover meds in his blood, they send some with him, I would expect they gave to you he may not be able to keep track of them.

gr8, were there generics for all?  put the brand names into search the maker may have a program for just such a case as his. may be no co pay even. far to a walmart, often the cheapest, even less if you can get a 90 day script.
