My computer says the battery is 85% available (plugged in, not charging). I've tried all of the fixes. Bought a new A/C adapter, and it still says the same thing. It is slowly going down, too. It said 87% a couple of days ago.

Hmm...I wonder ..hmmm. Perhaps, Henry, can help. My Vista did that but I don't remember what was done to fix it. Sorry.

 It must be very common. Lots of stuff pops up when you google. I now have a battery ordered. It will be about 10 days before it gets here. The old battery is only 2 years old.

I couldn't open Chrome browser either. Finally did it through programs.

I, think, that was the problem with my Vista,too.  Eventually I have up and bought another computer after buying 3 batteries. Win7 , however that baby has another problem and I was gifted a Win10. So far no problems but learning how it breathes.

We had a water leak, the managers had to dig up our yard. In the process, they cut our cable line, which meant no internet or cable. The repair guy came out today and fixed it. Yay! So we are back.
