Applied for another job and had an interview today. Already got an email that they went with someone else. Disappointing

When we had a recession in the '80's there were a lot of suits vying for flipping burger jobs. They waited around here in long lines to get a chance at an In-n-Out Burger joint that was paying just above minimum wage. The lines were 2 1/2 hours long. As a matter of fact, that's how teenagers lost that market to adults out there. The same adults who decided within the last few years to go on strike for "living wages" because they were not making enough. Strange. The job market is going to be tight and it comes down to who You know and what else there is on the market.
I'll light a virtual candle for You to find a great job , Angie. Good Luck

Yeah, still looking. I don't think I'll pass the audit at work. I've been there 8 years. New bosses want to come in and change everything.

Oh and had a friend at that job, who was supposed to help me get hired on. Oh, well. Didn't work.

Call another letter; the business goes through a lot of new bosses, it seems?!
Apparently, there are a lot of people looking for work, too. Think positively about the audit, Angie ....that You'll pass it especially since you're already trained and have been there awhile. If they change things, even New people will be confused, including upper staff. Anybody who's lived through a renovation knows how it feels. Keep the Faith!

M Almost every place is hiring around here. How about the homemaker positions at in home Senior care places? The homecare I use provides car ( not just for work! ), + insurance and gas. Sweeps, mops vacuums. Helps with laundry. Seems like there's more agencies all the time.
