ABC puts lives at risk

Unlike ABC we respect those who serve our country
ABC News features a report exposing the identities of two of the creators of the
Bush administrations interrogation techniques used on high level terrorists.
From the Weekly Standard- ”ABC runs a report showing the names and faces of
two CIA contractors who may have had a role in the waterboarding of KSM and
Abu Zubaydah. The network apparently outsourced this report to a freelancer
named Matthew Cole, whose record in Nexis includes just three bylines — two
stories for Salon (one of which about “how Bush administration aid to Pakistan
helps fund insurgents who kill U.S. troops”), and one for the San Jose Mercury
News just two days after 9/11 reporting “anxiety about a backlash” among
Muslims, who assure the reporter that the attack “has nothing to do with Islam.”
In other words, Cole is a left-wing partisan with questionable reporting chops.
This is obvious from the quality of the story tonight. Cole repeats the now
thoroughly debunked claim that Zubaydah and KSM were water boarded 83 and
183 times respectively.”
Aside from the ABC report using blatantly false information, regarding the
amount of times waterboarding was used, the outing of these individuals is
completely irresponsible and in fact treasonous on the part of ABC. They ran
their Camera crews out and filmed these two CIA contractors, both psychologists
who had worked in training Air Force Pilots to prepare them for torture, and
attempted to portray them as war criminals.
While the ABC News report attacked these two men for having “no experience”
in actual interrogations they downplayed their experience in training Air Force
Cadets to withstand torture, a handy piece of expertise in their line of work.
A very important question is who in the Obama administration outed the identities
of these men to the press? The left wanted to impeach Bush over the outing of
Valerie Plame and people were hauled off to trial. Will anyone from the Obama team
be called to testify? The difference here is that these two contractors whose pictures
and office building were filmed by ABC will almost certainly become targets for
terrorist attacks. The Obama administration by outing the identities of these two
men to the press has placed their lives in danger. Not only will Islamic terrorists be
after these individuals who are responsible for the techniques that extracted
valuable information from Khalid Sheik Mohammed and saved lives, but far left
“witch hunters” will be after these patriots as well. ABC certainly didn’t help their
cause by chasing them down like criminals and attempting to slander them by
discussing how much money they made.
These men who served their government and country by helping to keep it safe
deserve better than the treatment they received from the Obama administration
and from ABC. ABC and the Obama administration might as well have signed these
two men’s death warrants, and this is despicable.
Change is a two edged sword!!
