I'll be late. Several unfortunate things happened. ..I. stepped on my cat twice (fell over him & kicked him in the face), and I'm helping Ka'at whose legs are giving her trouble.

L'il Guy is alright, but weary of my feet , which is to be expected; Ka'at , we're not sure what caused her legs not to work right now. They're curled up in a fetal position and it's very hard to unbend them. We think when she was stretching to get something out of one of her side table drawers something snapped in that region she had the surgery. Ka'at said she felt something go pop there. . Shocked

Her Mobile Physician is due for a visit next weekend, supposed to be giving her her B-12 shot, and a general physical -maybe they'll do an X-ray ?

I put my KF on the floor beside L'il Guy and put on his favorite type of music. .then he can sprawl up to 8 hours before I have to recharge the device. He should be pretty kewl with that, I reckon. I put it where I won't run in to him; if I could only get him to keep his tail outta my way. Smile

One has to judge just where that tail is going to be when one steps and hope for the best!

S, please. Just busy as all get out, Angie. Bill's Doris is going in next month for possibly another stent but is overall in decent health for her age. She started exhibiting some of the same symptoms as those she had developed before the 1st stent was put in a year or so ago - - what she kept describing as "indigestion." The MDs kept giving her scripts for Nexium and telling her she had GERD. She doesn't have GERD as she has no acid reflux. I nagged her into going in for tests & sure enough, we have a blockage. Heart problem symptoms are so much different in women from those that men typically get that it masquerades as other problems and are likely to go undetected. It even exhibits as jaw pain! Go figure!!

Right now, we have also set her up with an iPad and an iPhone. Don't plan to see her any time on WOF but she is finally joining the rest of us on the net. Her adoption rate is painfully slow but I plan to get her into an iPad class at a local senior center in late March.

Sorry to hear that Ka'at is having more problems, Wyz.

Ka'at is improving, I've been massaging her knees and ankles with a cream that works great for me that I bought on Amazon called Penetrex, it's not cheap. . but it works! It's a Topical Inflammation Formula ( Intensive Concentrate For Relief & Recovery) w/ Arnica, Vitamin B6 & MSM .

I'd originally bought it because I hurt my wrist in a clumsy fall ( I was playing Spiderman in my hallway and slipped Embarassed

) and the wrist that was injured is my writing hand. Long story short Dr said No Surgery ( other health reasons) and Medical Insurance wouldn't pay for pain meds so I found this and glad that I did, too!

One can use it for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Tennis Elbow, etc. I paid $19.95 ! and I've been using it off and on for 3 years. . it's stayed the same price too. Ka'at's Physical Therapist knows about it . . I gave him an empty jar; my Drs know about it ( gave them empty jars too) and the neighborhood handy man knows about it. ( I didn't have an empty jar so I just showed him the jar)

Doris is just interested in getting to her local bridge scores and researching things that pop up in conversation that tweak her interest. Trying to work with her on email so she can be in touch more frequently with far flung friends & relatives but that is slow going. Only reason she agreed to get an iPad was because some bridge friends nagged & embarrassed her into it. Controlling costs by going for older models of equipment and/or donations from those of us who have gotten newer devices. So long as we can keep her on the same technological foundation as we use, we can help her through whatever.

For a myriad of aches and pains, Ron (my husband & an 'old boy' rugby player) has also had very good results with DMSO, a horse liniment. Might be cheaper & worth a try, Wyz.
