yes it is serious , did I post about the Ukraine , or the roll into and over Crimea in the Community ? It is indeed very nice to give an energy Guaranty To the Ukraine , While Americans are freezing to death , Documented .

If it indeed was Locked in I am surprised the House Voted to approved it Thursday . This Group has a free speech policy so far as I know , but being truthful is also a very good thing .

Sorry, I don't usually do politics, but clicked on the thread by mistake.

I was just remembering how proud I was of Bush's response to 9/11. Only to come home and find out we were invading Iraq. The funny part was, you could apply the same cartoon to all of the Bush administration's responses. Hell, they couldn't even keep the reason for the war straight. First it was weapons of mass destruction that didn't even exist. Then it was for Iraqi freedom that they never asked for.

And after the WMD fiasco, there was denial after denial. Then there was Blackwater & the failure to supply proper armored protection for which they were being paid to do. Then the loss of millions of dollars into the ether w/no accountability whatsoever.

And Abu Ghraib! Torture & waterboarding.

You'd need extra panels in yer comic strip to cover all the shit the Bush administration lied about. It is a political strategy used by both parties that goes back a long way. Used during Watergate to distance Nixon. Used by the Reagan administration to cover the president's ass during the Iran-Contra scandal.

Don't make it look like the strategy of denial is something conjured up by the Obama administration...

The problem w/most folk that take extreme positions either to the left or right is that they blind themselves to most issues that aren't so easily categorized by the political expediency of a one size fits all.


Ya don't have to be a liberal to know that paying years of health insurance from the age of 18 to 50 while you are in good health, and finally when ya need it at 51 your insurer uses hired guns to find the slightest reason to use the preexisting condition clause, isn't fair.


Ya don't have to be a liberal to know that the medical profession should always keep a respectful distance from the pharmaceutical companies. Force feeding patients unnecessary drugs to meet a quota is unethical & dangerous.


Ya don't have to be a liberal to know that a toothbrush should not cost over $1000.00 dollars. The game of inflating the cost to offset insurance arbitration is a never ending cycle that only leads to higher deductibles.

Sometimes commonsense must hold sway over politics. Do I wish the insurance companies would have policed themselves? Yes. No president should have to intervene to force companies to simply provide the services we pay for.

Sorry to tell ya, but all sports need a referee! And capitalism is the greatest sport ever. Folks talk about letting the market run free. No regulation. A wild wild west of capitalism dictated by the elite. But even a backyard gardener knows to till the soil & pull the weeds that threaten to strangle their vegetables.

Anyway, I ended here by mistake, I've said my piece & I'm done w/this conversation. It is useless to argue w/anyone coming from an inflexible political viewpoint as far as health care is concerned. If folks already have iron clad solutions be they Democrat, Moderate or Republican then yeah we can discuss implementation.

Even politicians don't take their own rhetoric so seriously...

You assume that because I don't agree with your views that I'm against any changes to healthcare which could not be further from the truth.

Clearly there needs to be more regulation to our healthcare in the form of regulations to stop things like discrimination to those with pre existing conditions, but allowing the government that can't even run the Post Office well to run the entire healthcare system is crazy!

Yes, there needs to be more regulation, but to impose this healthcare monstrosity on all of us is going to end up to be a disaster!

By the way as I have said before I am not a conservative or a socialist. I am an independent that simply does not want the government controlling every facet of my life.
