Well, at least you'll get some rest and he will, too. I know it's scary.

I don't know what to think. He's still there so far, but two nurses called me last night and asked me if I have POA. I do not, he was too far gone to consent to it when I found out. So they asked me if I intended to petition to have him committed. I said I did. I had already talked to the legal assistant about it. Today she called and told me the attorney would not go for it. He's only been diagnosed with dementia so far, which is not treatable. So they did not do it. The social worker said they will try to get the doctor to add another diagnosis. So no notion what they will do yet.

Hospitals aren't allowed to give any information about a patient even if You are related over the phone IF you call. That's what they told me a number of years ago when my Mom was in the Hospital (2008)

They'll call You and tell You; in CA, the Virus rules are stricter. You can't call anyone You know who works in a ..wait..I think that's only for Convalescent Homes. 

It might agitate him if You get through to him on the phone, I guess is the reason.
